The most widely used carton style: top and bottom flaps are the same length and meet in the middle when folded. Available in 3 ply (single wall, B, C or E flute), 5 ply (double wall, BC or BE flute) and 7 ply (triple wall) for exceptionally heavy goods.

Product description
1 Construction
- An outer liner, an inner liner and a fluted medium in between, bonded with starch glue
- 3 ply: one B, C or E flute
- 5 ply: two flutes combined, BC or BE
- 7 ply: three flutes, for extra-heavy goods
- Typical flute height: C 3.6–3.9 mm · B 2.5–2.9 mm · E 1.5–1.9 mm
